The Planning Board:
The Transylvania County Planning Board is an advisory board consisting of seven members appointed by the County Commissioners who are responsible to:
- manage land-use ordinances by drafting or updating and presenting to the County Commissioners for adoption. (The Planning Board is reviewing the sign control ordinance and the draft revised ordinance can be read HERE. Public comment will be accepted at their next meeting on July 20, 2017 at 7pm in the Community Services Conference Room at 106 East Morgan Street in Brevard)
- develop the county's 2025 Comprehensive Plan to present to the County Commissioners for adoption
This board meets from 7-9pm in the Transylvania County Community Services Building Conference Room at 106 East Morgan Street, every third Thursday of a month and the public is encouraged to attend and participate.
